Why can't I login to Gradelink?
These are the most common problems when trying to login to Gradelink.
1) If this is the first time you have logged in from this computer you will need to enter
your school ID in addition to your Username and Password. Click the 'Options' button on
the login page to bring up the School ID field. If you do not know your school ID please
contact your school and they can provide it.
2) You have forgotten your Password or Username - please see the FAQ below.
3) The Gradelink login page does not appear. Click the 'Home' tab at the top of this page
and try to login again.
What do I do if I have lost my user name or
password?
Do not call Gradelink to retrieve your password. For security reasons we do not give out
passwords. Only your school can do this - please contact them.
Can more than one
Parent Access Gradelink?
Yes both parents can access Gradelink using the same account credentials - however there
is only one primary account holder. Because Gradelink is web based each parent can access
Gradelink from any internet connection. Also Gradelink email alerts can be sent to multiple
email addresses so that both parents can be kept up to date with acedemic progress - email
addresses can be added on the 'Alerts' tab of Gradelink (Click on 'Edit Emails' button
to do this).
I am getting too many email alerts what can
I do?
Please DO NOT mark Gradelink emails as spam in your email program as this could prevent
you from receiving important email alerts in the future. Instead, logon to Gradelink and
go to the 'Alerts' tab. Adjust the settings to send out only the alerts you want. Remember
there is a check box to give all classes the same alert settings - this saves a lot of
time. If one parent wishes to receive alerts and the other parent does not simply remove
that parent from the email list (Click on 'Edit Emails' button to do this).
Can my son or daughter look at their grades?
Yes - If you wish to share your login credentials with them they also can access your
Gradelink account.
I am a teacher
but my school does not use Gradelink can I get an individual account?
Unfortunately Gradelink is designed as a school wide system to simplify grading and attendance
for all teachers at a school. We would be very happy to demonstrate Gradelink to your
school and provide information and assistance for presenting Gradelink to your principal.
Once a school sees the benefit, cost effectiveness and ease of use of our system they
are usually eager to try Gradelink (see our free trial offer).
As a school we really
like the idea of Gradelink but are concerned about how difficult it will be to implement?
Gradelink is easy to implement because it works entirely on line. Your school does not
have to maintain servers or employ extra IT staff. Some time is required to enter the
initial data and we can often assist with this when your school is migrating from a different
system. Most schools are up and running in less than a week, and sometimes it takes as
little as a day. However, Gradelink saves time when calculating grades, making progress
reports, and creating report cards at the end of the term.
Who is the best person
to administrate the Gradelink system for our school?
Gradelink is easy to administer and anyone who is proficient using the internet and basic
office applications can manage the task. This person could be a member of the office staff,
an IT teacher, the principal or even a teacher who is excited about using Gradelink.
As a principal
I am already very busy will I have to be responsible for administering Gradelink?
No, you can delegate this task to one of your staff members. However you will still be
able to use Gradelink as a tool to instantly get information about what is going on with
any classroom, teacher or student at your school.
Does Gradelink require
a high speed broadband connection?
Gradelink was designed to work with a 56K modem. It is perfectly usable by this method
without being frustratingly slow. Broadband connectivity will make using Gradelink more
responsive, and the cost of broadband is relatively inexpensive.
